How to Setup your BYOD Android Phone for Sailormen Hexnode Mobile Device Management

What will you need?

• Sailormen Microsoft Office Email & Password
• Call 1(305) 670-0746 Option 2 and speak with a Sailormen IT Specialist

1. On the Android phone, open the Google Play Store and install "Hexnode for Work"
   
2. Open the "Hexnode for Work" application and it will ask you to input the server name. Input: sailormen.hexnodemdm.com and select "Next"
   
3. On the enroll page, select "Authenticate with Microsoft" and log in using your Sailormen Microsoft Office account.
   
4. After logging in, it will take you to the license agreement screen. Select "Agree"
   
5. The "Setup Work Profile" screen will show up. Just select "Continue"
   
6. The "Let's set up your work profile" page will show up. Select "Accept & Continue" and then "Next" when it's finished.
   
7. The device will go through the enrolling process and then on the app, it will come up with the "Manage All Files" prompt. You need to "Grant Access" to continue. Then afterward, ensure "Allow access to manage all files" is checked and then go back to the "Hexnode for Work" application.
   
8. On the application, you will need to set up "Configure work account" & activate "Password Token". Password token will make the employee set up a password for their device. 
   
9. Afterward, go back to the home screen for the phone, look at your "Personal Apps" and re-open the "Hexnode for Work" app,it will tell you that enrollment is complete, press "Continue" and when it prompts you to uninstall the app, select "Ok"
   
10. At this point there is a moment where the phone might restart itself, if it does, that is normal.
11. Go to the apps on the phone, switch to the work profile to see the work-managed apps, and open "Hexnode for Work".
    
12. On the appplication, it will tell you "Activate VPN". Select "Activate" and then press on "Ok" when it asks for connection request"
    
13. Hexnode will show up with "Enable Location Services", you can click on it but it might not work. That's normal as we are not setting "Location" services.
    
14. Let Sailormen IT Specialist know that you are finished with the setup. They will need to assign the correct policy to the phone. 
15. After the policy is assigned by the Sailormen IT Specialist, depending on your current internet connection, they will start seeing applications installed on the work profile. 
    
16. Go back to the "Hexnode for Work" app and it should now ask you to "Set up a new password for work". You will need to set up a password/fingerprint/pin for the work profile apps. 
    
17. The process is now complete and we can manage the apps on the phone now.
